While we can only get you an exact quote based on jobsite conditions and your specific needs, this report will give you good idea of the average cost of your project. Keep in mind, these numbers are not quotes from REF. There are many variables that define the scope of the project and alter the cost.
Here are some 2022 average job costs for Portland, OR:
- Major kitchen remodel: $164,855
- Update a 200 sqft kitchen with 30 linear feet of top-of-the-line custom white cabinets with built-in sliding shelves and other interior accessories. Includes stone or quartz countertops with ceramic or glass tile backsplash, built-in refrigerator, commercial-grade cooktop, and vent hood, wall oven, and built-in microwave unit. Includes installation of a quality undermount sink with faucets and water filtration system. Includes new general and task lighting, as well as under cabinet lights. Includes installation of tile or other flooring. Includes high-end appliances from brands like SubZero and Wolf.
- Budget kitchen remodel: $84,846
- Includes updating a 200 sq ft kitchen with a functional layout of 30 linear feet of semi-custom wood cabinets, a 3x5-foot island, Formica countertops, a standard double tub stainless steel sink with standard single-lever faucet, energy-efficient range, ventilation system, built-in microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, custom lighting, vinyl flooring, painted walls, trim and ceiling.
- Luxury master bathroom remodel: $86,761 - Includes expansion of an existing 35-square foot bathroom to 100 square feet within the existing house footprint. We relocate all fixtures, including a 42x42-inch neo-angle shower with ceramic tile walls and accent strip, a recessed shower caddy, body-spray fixtures, and a frameless glass enclosure; a freestanding soaker tub with high-end faucets; stone countertop with two sinks; two mirrored medicine cabinets with lighting; a compartmentalized commode area with one-piece toilet; humidistat-controlled exhaust fan; colored fixtures; larger matching ceramic tiles on the floor, laid on the diagonal with ceramic tile base molding; general and spotlighting with waterproof shower fixture; cabinetry includes a custom drawer base and wall cabinets for a built-in look; extended HVAC system; and includes electric in-floor heating.
- Budget bath remodel: $27,330
- Includes updates to an existing 5x7-foot bathroom. Replace all fixtures to include 30x60-inch builder-grade painted porcelain-on-steel tub with entry-level white 4x4-inch ceramic tile surround; new single-lever temperature and pressure-balanced shower control; standard white toilet; plastic solid-surface vanity counter with integral sink; recessed medicine cabinet with light; ceramic tile floor; vinyl wallpaper. The existing bathroom cabinet not replaced.
- Deck addition: $26,197 - 16x20-foot deck using pressure-treated joists supported by 4x4-inch posts anchored to concrete piers. Install composite deck material in a simple linear pattern. Include built-in bench and planter of the same decking material. Include stairs, assuming three steps to grade. Provide a complete railing using a matching system made of the same composite as the decking material.
- Siding replacement: $22,444 - Replace 1,250 square feet of existing siding with new fiber-cement siding, factory primed and factory painted, and installed to manufacturer’s specifications. Include factory trim at all openings and corners.
